Saint Francis Health System Specialist, Data Integrity in United States
Job Summary: The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for maintaining the data integrity of the facility and enterprise Master Patient Index across all entities of the Health System. The individual provides resolution of urgent MPI overlay errors impacting patient care and participates in on-call coverage for the MPI team on a rotation basis.
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. RHIA or RHIT preferred.
Work Experience: 3 - 4 years related experience inclusive of working in a health care setting with working knowledge of electronic medical record and MPI functionality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, oral, written and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate professionally with other departments and medical personnel. Ability to be technically oriented with strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Ability to search databases and use critical thinking to discern correct patient clinical and demographic information in accordance with established procedures.
