Saint Francis Health System Specialist, Outcomes Msmrt in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Job Summary: The Outcomes Measurement Specialist is responsible for the data collection and data support for Medical Staff clinical practice improvement projects and Saint Francis Health System integrated quality initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Review electronic and paper medical records, abstracting clinical data as mandated by regulatory agencies such as JCAHO and CMS.

Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and database design that is necessary for querying and processing raw data.

Be able to use knowledge to support on-going Medical Staff recredentialing, peer review work, administrative and physician data requests, quality indicator population identification and scorecards.

Generate risk-adjusted data using proprietary software.

Have working knowledge of the system's report writer.

Prepare, gather, review, record and organize special studies, as well as transform them into graphic presentation to support administration, service lines and medical staff quality projects.

Demonstrated ability to design, enter data and query user-defined databases using the Microsoft Office suite of products. Examine, analyze and integrate data from other departmental software packages throughout the hospital, such as finance and utilization management.

Assist Quality Improvement Management, Medical Director and Medical Staff members with system-wide data needs and graphical presentations.

Education: HSD or GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

Work Experience: 3 - 5 years experience in healthcare quality or medical records.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with databases, spreadsheet data collection is beneficial.
