Saint Francis Health System Manager, Patient Accounting- Insurance in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Job Summary: Responsible for actively managing accounts receivable and related processes. Responsible for one or more functional teams, ensuring timely and accurate payment and resolution of all patient and insurance claims. Coordinates operations with other hospital units and departments. Interprets policies and recommends processes and procedures. Interviews and hires new employees and assigns them to various work areas. Monitors productivity and performance of individuals and the department as a whole. Collaborates to set goals and will be responsible for the ongoing training and educations of all staff. Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of Patient Account Services processes. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the goals, values, mission and philosophy of the institution and Saint Francis Health System.
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field strongly preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: 5 - 7 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience in billing systems such as IDX, Misys, Lawson or others; computers - Unlimited TIMS System, and spreadsheet capabilities such as Excel. Presentation skills for small to large audiences. Proficient understanding of billing practices and regulations including some knowledge of medical coding. Superior communication skills and ability to function as a part of a team.
