Saint Francis Health System Director, Education in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Job Summary: The Director oversees the operations of the Department of Education, including the onsite operation of the audiovisual team, and is responsible for providing competency-based, system wide education including orientation, in-service training, management academy and continuing education / professional development. The director collaborates with senior management, department directors, and medical staff to create a climate and structure supportive of development and continuous learning.
Education: Master's Degree in nursing, education, or closely related field required. Either a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree must be in Nursing.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License required. Certification in specialty practice / education preferred.
Work Experience: 8 - 10 years related experience. Experience in performance improvement, adult education and nursing research. Minimum 2 years teaching experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates skill in leadership, business, professional accountability, advocacy, relationship management and networking. Demonstrates knowledge of healthcare environment and healthcare technologies. Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills required.
